Conflict Accommodations

Due to the busy time of year hotel rooms will be hard to come by. We have aquired several rooms on the S.A.I.T campus at $65 per night. Please contact Hall.Heroes@games-workshop.ca for details if you are interested.

Games Workshop Bus

Games Workshop is proud to offer the first ever Conflict Bus. This is a bus that will take eager Games Workshop participants from either of our stores in Edmonton down to Conflict Calgary and back again for only $25. Finally you do not have to miss out on Games Workshop biggest Alberta event Conflict Calgary.

The overall winner of each tournament receives a invitation to the Grand Tournament in Toronto and a free trip to get them there.

Conflict Calgary will be the first to host the Conflict The Lord Of The Rings Tournament. This tournament will pit the greatest The Lord Of The Rings tournament will be 500 points played over 3 games using the standard Hall Of Heroes rules. This event is a Conflict Hall Of Heroes Event and will be offering Hall Of Heroes points.

Tickets are $25 and include entry to the Conflict.

This contest of painting skills is coming to Conflict. Are your works admired by those around you? Have a model you are particularly proud of? Make sure to enter the Warpstone Painting Competition and test your mettle!

Build a Chaos Champion of your own fiendish design and prepare yourself for deadly combat. Just like Mad Grox, the Ascension of power lets your imagination run wild!

Local Clubs tables

Come and play on an array of local store and clubs amazing gaming tables. Bring your own models, but if you don’t have a full army available, don’t worry about it, many tables supply models for you to use. Learn a new game, of fight for domination against seasoned opponents. Looking for somewhere to play in your area, these clubs also provide information on how you can join up with them.

STREET BOWL (Blood Bowl) – Presented by ABBA
The Orcland Loners and The Blue Blasters rival gangs are settling this turf war the same way it has been done for many years, Bashing each others head’s in while attempting to pass a ball down a narrow alley way to score on the rival gang. Choose your gang, crack some skulls… DEFEND YOUR TURF!!!

Late in the Second Half (Blood Bowl) – Presented by ABBA
It’s late in the second half, your team is receiving the ball and it’s tied 1 –
1 … Now what? Let some of ABBA’s finest coaches teach you how to Blitz, Pass, Catch, Foul and generally beat people up until you’re into the endzone to win the game. TOUCHDOWN!!!

Clash of the Titans (40K Medusa V) – Presented by Eastridge Hobbies
Eldar and the Imperial Guard are fighting over a Hive city on Medusa V, and both sides have brought their Super Heavy Tanks and Titans to the battle front. As the battle rages on, the size has threatened the safety of everyone in the city, and made the large warmachines a target of everyone. As a result the lines have been drawn, everyone aginst the titans, and the titans aginst everything.

Battle in Osgiliath (LotR) – Presented by Compusoft & G.R.O.T.S

An epic struggle between the beleaguered defenders of Osgiliath and the invading forces of Sauron. Help the forces of Gondor buy time for the soldiers in the White city to build up their defences.

Elves in Peril (WFB) – Presented by Compusoft & G.R.O.T.S
In the aftermath of the Chaos invasion, the Elves dispatch a scouting force and are caught between the forces of Chaos and the Empire in a war torn town.

GROT Prime Hive Fight (40K) – Presented by Compusoft & G.R.O.T.S
In the ruined city of Grot Prime, survival is the only hope you have. Use your wits to or you will fail to get out alive.

Painting and Terrain lessons

Conflicts have a number of painting and terrain building tables run by Grey Knight volunteers. Here you can start from scratch and learn how to paint your very first model, or build your first piece of scenery. If you are a seasoned veteran, come by and discuss what painting techniques or what are the best materials for your hobby project. All materials are provided.

If you are interested in trying a different style of tournament or are not an avid tournament goer, but would like to play a few extra games, this event is for you. This event is three games of Warhammer Fantasy Battle and each game is 1000 points.

All army lists are allowed (Appendix lists, White Dwarf lists etc.) Although this event is in a similar format to our tournaments, winning is not the ultimate goal. Each game will be a unique gaming experience and there are many prizes to be won.

Sneak Peeks

The Sneak peeks booth will be in attendance at Conflict Calgary and it will allow you to get a glimpse in to the future of Games Workshop. The Sneak Peeks booth contains models, artwork and even rules that will not hit the shelves fro months. If you are curious about all the cool new releases come on by and check it out.
