Guardian Passes for Games Day
TUESDAY, MAY 16TH 2006

This year as in years pass we will be offering complimentary Guardian passes to parents of children who are attending Games Day. This pass is for parents who are not intending to participate in the games, but are coming as a guardian for a child. There will also be a guardian’s room provided to allow guardians to get away from all the excitement of Games Day.

Quest for the Treasure of Karak Azgal
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 7TH 2006

Games Day 05-06 will feature the Quest for Karak-Azgal. As a mighty troll slayer you have been assigned the task of seeking out the lost treasure of Karak-Azgal. Only the strong will be able to complete this quest through Games Day. This task will test your gaming skills, your observational talents and your ability to hunt the greatest of threats. This quest will be eligible for any Games Day participants but is aimed at those under the age of 16.

Games Workshop needs you at Games Day Canada 05-06!

Games Workshop is presenting Games Day On Saturday, May 27th. Games Day is the larger-than-life gaming event of the season, with something for every level of hobbyist. We will be hosting the Hall of Heroes Grand Tournament for our veterans, three massive Mega-Battles, and a hosts of exciting activities, guests and sneak peaks, as well as the famous Golden Demon painting competition!

In order to bring all this exciting hobby stuff to life we need volunteers. Gamers like you who are willing to come and help out and have fun. What do you get for helping out?

How about… a free event shirt and a free games day model?
Want even more? How about… 30% off all Games Workshop Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000 and The Lord of The Rings merchandise in the Games Workshop store? Does that sound good? You bet it does! And on top of all that we’ll even feed you!

So how do you get involved? We need people to bring and run gaming tables. Any one can do this, as long as you have a table with nice terrain and two reasonably well painted armies. If you don’t have all that, but you still want to help, let us know. We always need help!

Please note that all volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, or must be accompanied by their legal guardian.

- Games Workshop has a deal with the Hilton Toronto on Richmond St. West. The rate they are offering is $179 which is down from the regular rate of well over $200. Games Day Canada 05-06 is coming…
It is set for Saturday May 27th , 2006 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This Games Day is going to be the greatest one yet; there will be more games than ever before, more sneak peaks than in years past, and more painting and modeling than ever before featured in a Games Day. This season's Games Day also features 2 national tournaments, the Blood Bowl Spike! Tournament and the invitation only Grand Tournament. Games Day 05-06 was worth the wait and it is coming up soon.

Tickets go on sale Monday February 6th and are only $20 if you buy them in advance and $30 on the day. Tickets are available at your local store or call Direct Services at 1 888 498 7655.

This year we are offering something new, the exclusive Mega Ticket. This years ticket includes a games day figure and exclusive access to Games Day one hour earlier then the general public allowing you first access to the store and to be the first to any of the games or events taking place. The Mega Ticket is only $40 and these tickets will be extremely limited in number so get yours early.

We are also having a special promotion for all you White Dwarf Subscribers, you are able to buy Games Day tickets or the exclusive Games Day Mega Ticket one week early. That’s right if you have a White Dwarf subscription you can get your tickets as early as January 30th simply by calling Direct Services at 1 888 498 7655. Golden Demon 05-06
As with years past Games Day is host to the biggest painting competition in Canada, Golden Demon. This year's competition looks to be our greatest ever and we are expecting more entries than ever before. Now is the time to get your entries ready for a chance to be immortalized as a Golden Demon winner. The categories have changed a little so be sure to read them carefully. You will also notice that Games Workshop Staff are no longer allowed to enter in the Open Competition but now have their own categories. This will allow our staff and our customers to show off their greatest works.
Being a Golden Demon winner puts you in an elite group of individuals that are among the best painters in all of Canada, but the only way to win is to enter. We have had many people win in years past who that believed it was not even worth their time to enter and that their model was not good enough. If I was to give any advice, it is that if you are coming to Games Day, bring your favourite painted model or unit and enter it into Golden Demon. Just remember you have nothing to lose and endless fame to gain.

Grand Tournament 05-06
The Grand Tournament is the ultimate challenge to determine the greatest players from both Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40 000. This year’s Grand tournament will be held at Games Day in Toronto on May 27th, 2006.

This tournament is invitation only and will be made up of the winners of this year’s Conflicts and the 25 players with the most Hall of Heroes points in both Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40 000. The Grand Tournament is a chance to see the most fantastic players in all of Canada, battle it out to see who will be crowned champion.
