James Craig:
Grey Knight Captain

Could you please introduce yourself?
My name is James Craig and I am a Grey Knight Captain. Previous to this I was part of the Canadian Outrider program. My favorite part of this whole hobby continues to be the community that centers around this hobby and I am pleased to do my part to help that grow. As a Grey Knight I take great pleasure in helping gamers to grow in the hobby from introductory gamers through to true Veterans.

Where are you from?
I was born in Trenton, Ontario but currently reside just a few minutes east of there in Belleville.

How long have you been in the Hobby?
I have been into the Hobby for 18 years though I have only been seriously involved in competitions and the larger gaming community since 2001.

What was your first experience with Games Workshop?
This is one of those odd answers in that I have been in this hobby so long I cannot remember my first exposure, though I have many memories of great experiences that I associate with getting involved with GW. I remember buying myfirst White Dwarf magazine (which I still own). It had a really cool Tyranid painting on the cover. From that magazine I found great inspiration in the artwork, imagery and stories contained within. It was just plain cool. When my buddy Mike moved here from Alberta, he and I began to play Blood Bowl with a group of other friends. At that point I could only afford minis or proper brushes so I painted with toothpicks instead. How far things have come. At the time of this writing I have won my 6th Golden Demon award and my fascination with those early White Dwarf images had truly come full circle. The magazine with the artworkand 'eavy metal pages which I have poured over a million times, just dreaming of being good enough to be featured, to be someone who would inspire others to try, to play and to become involved; I had made it happen.

What armies do you have painted?

My collection of painted armies includes;

Warhammer:
-Chaos Mortals

The Lord of The Rings
-Forces of Darkness

Inquisitor
- Many many models

Warhammer 40,000:
-Space Wolves
-Chaos
-Inquisition
-Tank Company
-Tyranids
-Space Marines
-Orks
Mordheim
- Witchhunters
Necromunda:
-Scavvies

What projects are you working on now?
I am always working on new pieces for the Golden Demon
competitions but am also working on a heavily converted
WFB Beasts of Chaos army and expanding on my Inquisition,
Space Marine and Chaos Marine forces.
