I have always played evil armies no matter what game system, so for me to play Eldar (who I consider neutral) it is a big step. With ‘Paint or Die’, I have now committed myself to finishing them, no matter how much the lure of the brand new CHAOS is calling to me!!!!

WEEK 13
The Whole Army
Guardians
Fire Dragons
Hey All,
Well it is down to the wire. We are at the one yard line with one play left. No time-outs left. As I started this whole thing off with sports references why not end it too.
Now as things go, the best laid plans get blown to pieces when you hit the battlefield (most by Whirlwind templates in my case). But really they went and put this "WARNING" thing beside my name. I can understand why as I still have stuff left to do, but PRESSURE is my way of life (it is how I roll).
So to all you out there who think there may be a Baneblade in your future from me you are SO WRONG.
I will be seeing you at the Tournament with my ELDAR ready to rock and roll (unless your name is Valaire and you get first turn).
So as a parting note, to all those who still got stuff to finish
PAINT HARDER.
See you SATURDAY !!!!
;-)
WEEK 8
Can't talk must paint !!!!!!!
But really the end of the month is closing in and I still got a fair bit to finish. Mind you the last little while has not seen a lot of time for painting Eldar. This week looks good as I am doing night shifts which leaves me the mornings to paint and my next couple days off are specifically for Eldar.
So we'll see how it goes, should be furious and action packed.
Got a couple games scheduled too, those pesky Orks are back for another round and the Dark Angels wanna test their resolve too.
So till next week,
Paint, Paint and well Paint !!!!

WEEK 7
Well here we are heading into October. Still a little behind in the painting, zombies and hunters are so distracting (come by the store and ask how you can join in the spooky fun). But I am still targeting for all the painting to be done by end of this month, and along those lines the next couple days are gonna be jam packed with brushes of fury (and paints of flying).
On another note, we have been playing some games to get ready for the slaughterfest afterwards. I went up against Marines, and oh it was not a day for the Emperor's Finest who showed up not wearing their power armour (I seen bad rolling before, but this was just wrong). Followed that game with an engagement with Tau. This was a back and forth battle that left both sides in disarray, but the Tau got in a few good last parting shots. My last game then moved on to a Speed Freak force in the mission: Recon, again it was a back and forth battle, but DOOM and GUIDE prevailed until the last turn where fate had been tempted too much and the Farseer's head imploded.
So that's it for this week, have fun and keep painting!!!
;-)
WEEK 5
Well I would love to say lot's of painting got done but sadly no. As sometimes happens things come up (ie. Nuit Blanche, Heroes dvd set, Halo3, blah blah blah). Anyhow, I am heading out of town for the weekend and will be painting most of it (afterall it is Thanksgiving). So I should have lots for next week and even some photo's.

WEEK 3
Well everyone here we are another week down and some more models worked on. I am not really where I wanted to be at this point, but I modified my painting plan a little along the way. I decided to take some vacation time!!!
So with that in mind this week is going to be a painting filled fun time. I still have some Marine stuff to finish off (oh, why didn’t I think ahead of time and just do them), but they should be ready to go by the beginning of this week. But really I am very happy to be doing the Eldar, when the new book came out I was overjoyed at the changes made and it did inspire me to play a new army.
I digress, so after the Marines it is Eldar time (insert music). With the paint scheme down and base coating under way I should have more finished by the end of this week. Picked up the last of the models I needed on Friday and put them together while away at the Farm for the weekend (talk about dedication). I sadly realized that my weapons sprues were all warped (begin shaking fist), however due to the drawers of stuff I already have, I am now only missing one missle launcher (and since no else seems to ever use them I should have no problem finding one).
So onwards (really it is only back to the next room) I go. I am still holding myself to be finished by the end of October, and things are looking good for that. Should have some photo’s for next week to keep you all entertained.
Till then, have fun and PAINT HARDER !!!!

WEEK 2
Well here we are, the horses (this is not a reference to anyone in particular, so please do not be offended by the use of this description) are out of the gate. There are so many more things that can be put into the idea of what is happening, but to the point I say !!!
As always the hardest part for me is getting my colour idea down and being happy with it, well that has been accomplished and the paint has started to hit the models. Not as fast or furious yet as I got Space Marines to do for our store company (come by and check'em out, maybe even fight them and of course lose, hahaha).
But I digress, I have ended up with the idea of doing my base colours with some purples (oh Slaanesh), blues (oh Tzeentch), and greys (not sure where this came from) and sticking to the aspect's. Worked out with the help of my wife who is my main check and balance for this whole process. Originally I was not gonna do gem's until later but decided they are quick and look good when done (check out the website), so here we go. Now I have limited myself because when I get to the Dire Avengers I will not do every gem (have you seen how many there are???).
So with the Guardians based and getting details along with the Fire Dragons I am well under way towards my goal of getting the army ready and done for end of October (after all gotta get started on my 40K Orks as they have been neglected for far too long, DRED MOB's !!!).
So there it is that mechanical rabbit has lept from the starting box and the gate has opened, away I go (well not that far as my painting area is in the next room).
