My name is Rob and I work over at the Oshawa Hobby Centre. I have been with Games Workshop for the past two-and-a-half years part-time. Ever since I read ‘Horus Rising’ I have wanted to do a pre-heresy Luna Wolves army centered around Loken and the 10th company, well now is my chance! Baneblades here I come!
Have a mentioned how much I loathe Ravenwing… maybe I have.. well, it sucks! There almost done though, just gotta keep on going. This weekend was awesome, the battle tour rolled into Oshawa and somehow, the salamanders managed to come out victorious with 3 objectives to the blood ravens (cough… angry penguins…cough..) 2 objectives. It was right down to the last turn though, with the assault squad that our store painted holding the objective for the blood ravens that would have won the game. Unfortunatly those two loyal marines fell after much, much, much firepower. We shall have our revenge!!!!!!!
Till next time

WEEK 8
Ahhhh the stress of last week was terrible, so this week I’ve decided to take a well deserved rest from painting. Well painting Luna Wolves at least. Instead I am working on the store’s all bike Ravenwing army. I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned this, but I hate one thing more than all other. Highlighting Black. It is the bane of my existence. Yet I always seem to do it. Black templars, Ravenwing, and the new thing…. Our store’s space marine company is none other than RAVENGUARD!!! Yet more black highlighting…. Here we go again…..
WEEK 7
HAHA I FINISHED!!! Noooo corner crying for moi. While it was close and I was mighty stressed, I finished building everything the Friday before it was due and finished the painting by midnight on Saturday. They aren’t 100% to my standard yet, mostly the basing isn’t to my usual goodness. Ill keep working on them as the weeks go by but for all intensive purposes I am done!

WEEK 6
Soooo did I mention that not all of my models were built yet? Haha it kind of snuck up on me too. Here I was thinking all was good, the BAM, your not even close! If I wasn’t so absurdly confident in my ability to finish these 79 marines I would probably be crying in a corner somewhere as a result of the massive hit my bank account is about to take! Save meeeeeeee
Rob
WEEK 5
Howdy all!!! Well I’m not much further ahead than I was last week. L Time is getting short my October 13th deadline for the Oshawa side bet is fast approaching. Looks like many an all nighter will be pulled
Rob
WEEK 4
Rob here. So i've got another 20 dudes done! Thats right only 59 left!!! haha... the Bolter and backpack crisis has seemingly come to an end!!!! Finally!!! I can complete building the rest of my models!!! and hopefully be done for October!!!!
WEEK 2
So I am back in school now, and I only have one unit done. Uh oh. I still have loads of time to finish paint or die but the guys here at Oshawa made a side bet and those that don’t finish 1700 pts by the day the bane blade comes out have to buy all those that finish 3 baneblades! 35 days and 1550 points left! Must… Finish… Grey …. Marines….
I’ve been reading the newest Horus Heresy book, Fulgrim, on my way to and from school and it seems to have lit a fire underneath me to get these Luna Wolves done. I am really wishing I ordered more MK IV bodies though, I really wanted to do an accurate army and it seems as though I should have ordered 80 instead of a wee 30. Silly Rob. Oh well work with what I have I must. So the back pack and bolter crisis is over. A friend of mine who happens to have been playing Dark Angels since the very beginning gave me a ton. Phew, maybe I will be able to finish after all!
Well that’s enough from me for now. Till next time! Lupercal!!!!
WEEK 1
So funny story…. I ordered 30 MK IV space marine bodies along with 20 MK II marine bodies and what I thought was enough arms, shoulder pads, and bolters for them all. Notice I left out backpacks? Yeah that’s right…. 50 marines and no back packs! To make things worse what I thought were bolters turned out to be bolt pistols! Yeeee haaaaw marines with no back packs and no bolters…. Oh no. I had 53 original green and beige plastic marines from 1987 so I started using those but unfortunately what I thought was 53 is more like… well not 53. Can you say crisis? I’ve painted up one unit so far of just 1987 marines and they went well. Hopefully the crisis will soon ends.
