Welcome to paint or die II! My name is Ward and I work in the West Ed store. (Go west!) I rival Mark for slowest painter in the segmentum so have to prove myself in this endeavor. I will be painting those evil (yet so cool looking) Thousand Sons. I did have an army of these already but really want to change their color scheme. Only time will tell if I accomplish my goal.
Army list pending the release of Codex: Chaos

WEEK 14
Thousand Sons
Sorceror Lord
Dreadnought
Thousand Sons
Thousand Sons
Well here they are, in my favorite color, DONE!
I’m not totally finished with them, I still want to do some fine details. However they are done for the purpose of the contest.
Things I have discovered about doing a paint or die are, don’t give in to you boss’s peer pressure. No matter what he says or does, do not give in! Don’t wait until the last 30 days to work on paint or die. It’s hard on you, significant others who, just won’t understand and so on. I just wanted to say good job to those of you that I thought wouldn’t make it. Thank you for proving me wrong. It would have sucked to take your tank and name it after you as a reminder.
A special thanks to Mr. Burns for letting the world know of our progress. Until I get pulled into the next one…. Oh yeah that started today. Stop by the West Ed store to see who finishes their High Elf army. You’re going down Taylor!

WEEK 11
Well more time has passed and more models have been worked on. None of them finished however. I have been in the store quite a bit lately working on my tanks and dreadnoughts. Getting there is all I have to say. The gold and details is now my focus. That could be said for all my models, hmmmm I better get some work done. I do have to say well done to a Mister kraatz. His models are looking quite diseased. Well not long left, better get back to work.

WEEK 8
Yahoo!! More progress got done this week. I did get a little sidetracked however it was painting up more models that I needed done. I jumped ahead slightly and worked a little on the dreadnoughts. So far all the silver and the base coat of blue is done on them. I have managed to get all the blue done on all the marines now as well as the tabards. I have just started with the golds and plan to have that all wrapped up by this weekend. That will just leave the details and then onto the bigger models and characters. All things seem to be going well and I just have to keep focused. See ya later.

WEEK 7
Thousand Sons
Sorceror
Dreadnought
Ward in the service of the Emperor
People here are getting scared! I’m actually working on models now. I managed to get the blue on all of the marines themselves as well as highlighted the blue up on two of the squads. The tabards are also done on both squads as well leaving only the gold as the large portion left. If I can get all the squads done by the end of October it will only leave me with 7 models for all of November, and as I get some vacation time here right away, things look promising. The blue has gone by pretty quick on the models so far. I’ve been mixing it up pretty quick using only three colours. Four colours for the headdresses to make them a bit brighter. I also want to do some free hand on my tanks just like Andrew has done to his models but that will only be if I have time at the end. I have included some pics this time of my updated models. Off I go to paint more blue.

WEEK 6
Wow progress! The bases are finally done on the entire army. Only twelve layers of paint left to do on each one. I have also managed to do all the flames for the backpacks for all of the squads. Blue is done on the first squad as well and I hope only to have the details left by Friday.
Hopefully after putting a few painted models in the case Jon and Taylor will stop giving me a hard time. How is your army Jon? Hahahahahha I’m missing my camera cable so haven’t been able to put up any pics lately. I just may have to, so that you can all see my still mostly primed army. Ryan you better start painting as well or you’ll just be proving me right that Tzeentch is better that that so called what’s his/her name you follow. More painting to be had, later.

WEEK 5
Well another week has passed, what have I done? Well to be honest not much. Building a titan tends to suck up a lot of my time. That being said I’m going for nicest bases in paint or die. (That’s right Kat, I said it) No not really, it’s just that I have spent more time on them then I would have liked. However it doesn’t look like I’m in the only one who seems to be behind. Each of my squads will eat up a large amount of points. That being said I just have to sit down and paint them. I have enough stuff to be mixed between the squads so painting doesn’t become boring.
Onward to painting.

WEEK 3
Rhino Side
Rhino Front
Terminator Lord
Converted Back Pack
Wow! Time has flown by already. All I have to show off is primed stuff so far. Right now all my bases are ALMOST done. I’ve converted my sorcerer with tomb king bits and all my rhinos are built using the forge world doors. Mark and those guys from the Kingsway store are zooming ahead and making a mockery out of me. Guess I’ll have to crack down and get some painting done this week, in order to save face. It just takes so long when you convert every model in your army. Hopefully have some pics up of first squad next week.
