Greetings Citizens,
It has begun, the Crusade of Titus has been launched
and the Imperium has been thrown into yet another desperate conflict.
It has only
been four days but campaign results have been flowing into the
war-room from all across Canada. Lets take a look at the stats
and see how
the early stages of the war are going.
It seems that the Orks of Kownt Toofa were unprepared for the
ferocity of the Templars assault. In a series of lightning
raids the Templars
managed to sabotage several of the large Power Field generators
that sustain the Orky asteroid base. This leaves the greenskins
at an
early disadvantage. Toofa has already ordered the majority
of his forces to secondary bases. This has forced Doktor Theorkalypse
to abandon his prized project, an unfinished greater Gargant
dubbed “Gorks
Thunder.” It remains to be seen if the Kownt can retake the
war machine before the Templars dismantle it.
The Crusaders have claimed victory in this weeks
Critical action, giving them an additional 10% advantage in the Silex
Silicis
IV sector.
The world of Lochtelli I knows hope today for the first time
since the Tyranid invasion began. Black Templar forces have
temporarily alleviated some of the pressure on local Imperial
forces. Although
few in number, the noble Templars have managed to distract
the great beast from it’s feeding. The Astartes cannot hope to
match the swarm in a head on conflict; a desperate strategy must
be employed
for the Imperium to claim victory here.
The shifting sands of Itoh VI have worked to the advantage
of the Necrons in the early stages of the campaign. The
Xenos have
taken
to baiting the Templars with a small seemingly weak forces
and counter-attacking with greater numbers when the Astartes
close
for combat. It seems
that even the hated Techno-Zombies prey upon the Templars
more frequently then the elusive Necrons. A garbled report
from
a small scouting
force indicates that ancient ruins are present on Itoh
VI, although they do not seem to be Necron in origin.
The insurrection at Kemi II has proven difficult to quell.
The Black Templars sought to gain the advantage through
a series of Drop-pod
assaults on the capital. Although the Marines quickly
broke through
the lines of Imperial traitors they quickly came under
fire from concealed units of Tau Fire Warriors. As
the Templars
sought
to engage the hated Xenos the aliens mearly pulled
back and continued to punish
the Astartes with intense firepower. With their first
assault thwarted the Templars must find another way to establish
a beachhead on Kemi
II.
The Black Templars have brought the Emperor’s light to the
dark halls of the Craftworld Saaremaa. Expecting to engage
the hated Eldar the Marines were surprised to find Saaremaa abandoned
and overrun
with the servants of Chaos. Always ready to accept any
challenge
the Templars took the fight fearlessly to the hoards
of Daemons and Traitors and won some key early victories.
At this
early point
the
forces of the Imperium hold sway over three out
of five battlezones. Despite this their hold is very tenuous, and
where
victory is looked
for defeat can easily be found.
